Acclaimed actor and historical impersonator Tony Rollo will present his celebrated living-history performance, Benjamin Franklin Lives, at the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center of Williamson County (108 Bridge Street, Franklin, TN) on Monday, January 19, 2026. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. for this special one-day engagement.
The intimate performance and talk will include a reception with food and drink, and commemorative books for both children and adults will be available for purchase. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased through the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center of Williamson County.
In this engaging presentation, audiences meet Benjamin Franklin at a pivotal moment in his life. Having just returned from Paris after serving as ambassador to France, Franklin reflects on his storied career as he prepares to “pass the baton” to his friend—and occasional rival—Thomas Jefferson. The performance blends history, humor, and storytelling, offering a lively portrait of Franklin often described as “America’s first rock star.”
The January 19 performance serves as the capstone event for Franklin’s 320th birthday celebration weekend in Franklin. It is also part of the City of Franklin and Williamson County’s broader observance of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States of America. As part of these celebrations, a new “Ben on a Bench” statue will be unveiled on January 17 outside the Williamson County Archives and Museum.
