Stories Beneath Our Feet: Discovering Native Sites in Middle Tennessee – a Native American Heritage Month Celebration

November 4 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join us for a unique and powerful event to kick off Native American Heritage Month as we host cultural advocate and educator Trenton Wheeler for a special evening.

Stories Beneath Our Feet: Discovering Native Sites in Middle Tennessee is an opportunity to learn about the deep Indigenous history of our region and honor the enduring legacy of the Native peoples who called this land home.

Trenton, honoring his Amskapi Pikuni (Blackfeet) heritage, brings a vital perspective. He is a passionate advocate, co-founder of Nashville’s first Indigenous arts and culture festival (IndigeNash), and a dedicated educator who shares the Northern Plains grass dance tradition. This is more than a lecture—it is an immersion into culture, history, and advocacy.
