Museum Without Walls
Our Doors Are Closing, But Our History Is On The Move
While 108 Bridge Street served as a wonderful home for our stories, we are thrilled to announce that the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center is preparing for its future permanent location at Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens.
The Center will find its new home within the historic LeHew Mansion, serving as a premier attraction and a cornerstone of the Franklin Grove experience. This move allows us to integrate our history into a larger, multi-faceted cultural destination for all of Williamson County.
Introducing: Museum Without Walls
Our Mission, Accelerated. The physical doors at Bridge Street may be closing, but our work is moving directly into the heart of the community. Throughout 2026, we are launching "Museum Without Walls"—a year-long series of mobile programming and community activations.
We aren't just a building; we are a living history resource. By taking our exhibits and programs "on the road," we are ensuring that local heritage remains accessible, engaging, and vibrant during our transition to Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens.
2026 Programming & Pop-Up Exhibits
Stay engaged with us all year long as we celebrate the diverse tapestry of Williamson County. Our 2026 calendar features specialized pop-up exhibits and dedicated activations, including:
- Black History Month (February)
- Women's History Month (March) – Featuring the ‘Women in Preservation’ Lunch and Learn
- National Hispanic Heritage Month (September/October)
- Native American Heritage Month (November)
Education & Youth Initiatives
Our commitment to local students remains a top priority. Our Tennessee State Standard-aligned education programs will continue at various partner sites throughout the county, including:
- Timeless Tales: Monthly storytelling installments for our youngest historians.
- Interactive Field Trips: Immersive history experiences at community partner locations.
- The Abram Maury Writing Awards: Celebrating the next generation of local writers.
- and MORE!
